The PSP is capable of displaying pictures in the JPEG format, loaded on to a Memory Stick Duo or a Memory Stick Pro Duo; with Firmware 2.0 the PSP will also be able to support .TIFF as well as .GIF.

The built-in PSP viewer features zooming, rotation, and a slide show mode.
