What to do now????

Ok, I'm a nubie. I Followed the tut on how to downgrade from ver.3.03 to 1.50 & I did it right. ( Under system version is nsays I have 303 Hen). I also did the x.yz update. Now am I ready to load up a Game (rom)? I am trying to install Metroid for nes or enen super Metroid for SNES. Am I ready to do this? I need help. Please give me step-by-step instructions to do this. (Once I do it for the 1st time, I'll have it down).

I'm still @ 3.03 Hen after I did the x.yx update.

I would suggest going back down to 1.50 and trying the upgrade again. Running the xyz update should have taken you from 3.03 hen to oc-(something).

@usac... you havent fully completed the 1.50 downgrade if your at 3.03 HEN. Follow this tutorial, http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7034

After completing that your firmware should say 1.50.

Once that is done succesfully i would suggest upgrading to one of the latest custom firmwares. Personally i suggest 3.03 oe-c or 3.40 oe-a because its more stable but there are newer custom firmwares such as 3.51 M33 and 3.52 M33. Anyways you can upgrade to one of those by using one of the winstallers found here...

Staxx, thanks for the help. I did the xyz update & it said "Error 8001002 loading/starting ta082 _driver.prx".
The screen flashed blue just like the instruction said but under system info., I still get 3.03 HEN.
I tried it with the UMD in & out , but still the same.

if you have any other save games on there then thats probably your problem cause the exploit comes with a save game that your supposed to use. If you cant figure out which is which you might want to consider reformatting your memory stick and starting from scratch

Ok, starrted form scratch & now its says after I do the xyz update, it says to check to see if the "UPDATE.PBP" is a valid update EBOOT.

7 - Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. The 1.50 update can be
located here for download Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!


Did you rename the eboot.pbp to update.pbp?
