Change Network Update (on XMB) to Load a Homebrew Program

----What you'll need----
network update homebrew launcher-here
.rco swapper (optional for changing xmb icon names. -here
winrar (if you dont have it here
flash agent-here
Part I. Installing and choosing your game.

This tutorial is to change the network update icon to load any homebrew game or Emulator.
-First, make sure u didn't delete the network update flash files (as stated how to in darkpacman's tutorial on clearing flasho: space) because you'll need all the regular network update files in your flash0.

step #1. Download the network update homebrew launcher and put all the contents into your psp's root.

step #2. Go into your psp's game icon and run the flasher.
it will look like this.

step #3. Choose the game u want to run under net update. take the files from the folder with a % symbol and put them in GOTORECOV%. then take the files in the normal folder and put it in the GOTORECOV folder. if there is no % file ignore it and just delete GOTORECOVE%.

turn on ur psp and enjoy playing the game. i personaly picked file assistant. that way it's
kind of like an added feature instead of a game. if u want to change the network update xmb please continue reading.

Part II. renaming the network update icon. (by Puncharger)

-Well first off u wanna download the .rco swapper program above.
Then your gonna want to take the 12728_RCOSwapperv2.zip and open up the rco swapper folder and drag the installer to your desktop (or other suitable location)

-Then your gonna want to go into recovery mode on your OE-* firmware and copy over your your topmenu_plugin.rco from flasho:/vsh/resource to your desktop (or were you put the program at.)
then download the flash agent psp program (you'll need it soon.)
ok now run the .rco swapper. and change the names of your icon by clciking on the drop-down menu of the programm for network. and selecting network update. then type in the name of what you want it to be..
for example

then click temp save then click swap it.

And flash your newly made topmenu_plugin.rco with flash agent (the usb way wont work)

t should end up like this (except in white.)

I really like this tutorial. Credits and kudos go out to the both of you for creating this tutorial then ;)

I am just going to edit it a little bit, and then I am going to test it all out (maybe tomorrow if I am too drunk by then lol). Good stuff though guys, I really look forward to loading something from there... perhaps Nester.

So I was looking for the original network update file b/c I deleted them from my flash0 (like you even stated lol) and I couldn't find it. If someone could use psp filer/ copy it to their memory card/ upload it for me, I'd be pretty appreciative.
