This problem has been haunting me for a while now. Im running a wireless network in my home. I am using a belkin router (as this is what the PSP picks up is active in my area). When i attempted to conect however i get the message,

A connection error has occured.
The attempt to obtain the IP adress has timed out.
Connection Name: Connection 1
SSID: Belkin54g

I've had a look through google and a number of othe sites and tried what has been suggested but have had no joy so far. Now im going to be honnest my Wifi knowledge is not that hot so here is the info i can give you in regards to my network setup....

I have no wep or any protection on the network (no a problem where i live)

I have tried turning off all my firewalls etc but no joy

Under Network Connections i have the following 2 icons

Local Area Connection
Connected
3Com Gigabit LOM (3C9400)

&

1394 Connection
Connected
1394

Set up wise i have my broadband box (using blueyonder) which is connected to the WiFi router via a cable. A second cable then runs from the wireless router to my Desktop PC with the WiFi only being used for my laptop. If there is anything anyone needs to know so they can help resolve the problem i will answer.

Many thanks to all those who take the time to read.
