How to get recovery mode to recover your PSP to 1.50 (CFW's)

Hey guys, I made this guide because it doesn't seem to be fully covered and it is very vital.

*DISCALIMER*

Anyone who follows this guide will be responsible for their own actions, NO ONE ELSE...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recovering your PSP to version 1.50 is when you go into recovery mode and select the option,
"Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP" this will automatically bring back your PSP to version 1.50 which is the most stable homebrew friendly firmware, this is useful in the event of a partial brick

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things to know:

Q: *What is recovery mode?*
A: A special screen that comes with all major custom firmwares, in this you can customize and take care of your PSP

Q: *How do I get to recovery mode?*
A: With your custom firmware press the "R" trigger while you turn on your PSP

*The winstaller may take a long time to load*

*This will not format your memory stick but will erase your PSP settings (ie. UMD auto start)*

*Absolutely virus free, I uploaded this myself*

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to get 1.50 recovery:

1.) Simply go to this site and download the winstaller: http://www.badongo.com/file/5308985

2.) Run it on your computer with your PSP connected via usb

3.) Follow onscreen instuctions

4.) Congratz

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage:

1.) Hold "R" trigger as you turn on your PSP

2.) Look for the option "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"

3.) Run it

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, I think this bricked my PSP. I was on 3.71M33-2 and followed the instructions perfectly. When I ran it alot of errors came up and then the "Press X to restart" so when I restarted it, nothing happened...It just doesn't turn on. Have I bricked?

Wow I've told this exact thing to about 20 other ppl and they have gone through it perfectly, it may be a problem with the 3.71 M33-2 FW but anyway...

Keep trying make sure your battery is ok

What does my kernal have to be set to? Do I need to enable the PRXs? Because one of the errors was something to do with a PRX.

I want to downgrade from 3.72 HX-2. I installed the program but when I ran the EBOOT I get an error that says "can not open unmodule.prx. The file can not be opened because it is not on the PSP.
Should I try extracting it from the official $ony update or the HX-2 update or would I even find it there?

Great. Thanks for letting me know. I just dumped the 3.72 EBOOT and found out that unmodule.prx is not even there. I guess I will wait until the 3.73 CFW or higher comes out because I am too cheap to set up a Pandora battery.
