2.0+ Homebrew Tutorial (BY: CLMT)

I'm a newb to the whole PSP hacking thing myself. I wanted my PSP to be useful for more than just Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, the GTA games, and the few RPGs in the PSP's library that might not suck =P

I'm running Firmware version 2.60. Is there a way to run the SNES Emulator without GTA? Also, said GTA game would be Liberty City Stories, right? (dumb question)

Yes apparrently there is now a downgrader which you do not need GTA. But one thing for sure, you must not have a TA-082 motherboad.
Refer to the back of you're UMD drive (where you're umd goes in) and check for little digits on it. If there areno digits, then you are free to downgrade, if there are, you're stuck with 2.60 for the while just of it.

EDIT: I read the Hackable Firmwares/PSPs thread. Mine isn't downgradeable. Dammit! =[

I got the psp version 2.81 and i did everything in the tutorial but all i see in the "save data utility" section in my psp is that "GTA: Liberty City Stories' Fanjita, eLoader" thing but it doesn't do anything. It's as if it were just on there for show, and theres a "corrupted data file in the "Memory Stick" section under "games" in the psp too. I mean the "THE" psp not it's folders that show up when i connect it to the pc.

This is fairly old and its up from 2.00-2.60 firmwares. Sorry not 2.81.
